About Us
About SSSPensionCalculator.ph
SSSPensionCalculator.ph is an independent website created to help SSS members understand retirement pension calculations, contribution requirements, salary credits, and other information that can affect retirement planning in the Philippines.
Our main goal is simple: make complicated SSS pension rules easier to understand and provide practical tools that members can use before checking their final benefit directly with the Social Security System (SSS).
The calculator and guides published on this website are for educational and retirement-planning purposes only. We cannot access your SSS account, contribution records, personal information, or official benefit computation.
Our Main Focus
SSSPensionCalculator.ph focuses primarily on topics connected with SSS retirement planning, including:
- SSS pension computation
- retirement eligibility
- SSS contribution requirements
- the 120-month contribution rule
- Monthly Salary Credit (MSC)
- Average Monthly Salary Credit (AMSC)
- Credited Years of Service (CYS)
- voluntary-member retirement rules
- Mandatory MySSS Pension Booster / former WISP
- SSS contribution-history checking
- pension increases and relevant SSS retirement updates
We may also publish closely related SSS benefit information when it is useful to members, but retirement and pension planning remain the site’s primary focus.
Who Creates the Content?
Articles on SSSPensionCalculator.ph are published under the byline Ramon Jose Aquino.
The role of the author and editor is to review publicly available SSS rules, contribution schedules, benefit pages, circulars, announcements, and other relevant primary sources and explain them in simpler language for readers.
We do not claim that the author is an SSS employee, attorney, financial adviser, accountant, or government representative.
SSSPensionCalculator.ph and its author are independent of the Social Security System.
How We Research SSS Information
For important factual information, we prioritize primary and official sources rather than relying only on other blogs.
Sources we commonly review include:
- the official Social Security System website at SSS.gov.ph;
- official SSS retirement and benefit pages;
- current SSS contribution schedules;
- SSS circulars and official announcements;
- SSS Citizens’ Charter information;
- My.SSS service guidance;
- Republic Act No. 11199 and applicable implementing rules; and
- other official Philippine government information when relevant.
When an article discusses a rule that may change, we try to link directly to the relevant official source so readers can verify the information themselves.
How Our SSS Pension Calculator Works
Our SSS Pension Calculator currently provides two calculation modes.
Quick Estimate
The Quick Estimate is intended for members who know information such as their:
- current salary;
- contribution history;
- approximate contribution years; and
- planned retirement age
but do not know their official AMSC or CYS.
Because current salary alone cannot establish a member’s actual Average Monthly Salary Credit, this mode should be treated as a planning estimate.
Accurate Estimate
The Accurate Estimate is designed for members who already know or can reasonably determine their:
- Average Monthly Salary Credit (AMSC)
- Credited Years of Service (CYS)
- total posted monthly contributions
The calculator compares the applicable Regular SSS pension formulas and shows the highest estimated basic pension.
Where applicable, it also displays information about:
- the ₱1,000 additional benefit allowance;
- estimated 13th-month pension;
- qualified dependent’s pension; and
- relevant SSS Pension Reform Program information.
The calculator does not automatically add estimated investment balances from the Mandatory or Voluntary MySSS Pension Booster to the Regular SSS pension calculation.
Why Our Calculator Is Only an Estimate
No independent online calculator can determine your final SSS pension with complete certainty.
Your official retirement benefit depends on the records maintained by SSS, including your:
- posted contributions;
- salary-credit history;
- AMSC;
- CYS;
- retirement or contingency date;
- membership status;
- applicable benefit increases; and
- other qualifying conditions.
For this reason, calculator results should be used for planning and understanding, not as a guarantee of what SSS will pay.
The Social Security System makes the final benefit determination.
We Do Not Ask for Sensitive SSS Login Information
You do not need to enter your:
- SS Number;
- CRN;
- My.SSS username;
- My.SSS password;
- OTP;
- bank-account password; or
- other account credentials
to use our pension calculator.
Never send your SSS password or one-time verification code to an unofficial website or individual.
If you need to check your actual contribution history, use your official My.SSS account.
Our Accuracy and Review Process
SSS policies, contribution schedules, benefit amounts, online procedures, and pension programs can change.
When we create or substantially update an important guide, we review the relevant official information available at that time.
Important pages may contain a statement such as:
Last manually reviewed against official SSS sources: [date]
That date is intended to show when the information was actually checked. We do not intentionally change review dates merely to make an old article appear new.
When a significant SSS rule changes, we aim to:
- check the new information against an official source;
- identify which existing pages are affected;
- update inaccurate or outdated explanations;
- update calculator methodology when necessary; and
- clearly distinguish current rules from historical program names or rules.
Correction Policy
Accuracy is particularly important when discussing pensions and government benefits.
If we discover an error, we aim to correct it rather than leave information online simply because the page has already been published.
Corrections may involve:
- contribution requirements;
- pension formulas;
- benefit amounts;
- program names;
- eligibility conditions;
- application procedures;
- calculator logic; or
- links to outdated official information.
If you notice a possible error, please use our Contact Us page and include the URL and the information you believe needs to be reviewed.
We will compare the issue with current primary sources before making a correction.
Editorial Independence
SSSPensionCalculator.ph is independently published.
We are not the Social Security System, and SSS does not determine or approve the content of this website.
We do not:
- process SSS benefit claims;
- retrieve members’ contribution records;
- change SSS account information;
- provide official benefit decisions; or
- represent ourselves as an official SSS service.
Whenever an official SSS source conflicts with information on this website, readers should follow the latest information issued by SSS.
Why We Created This Website
SSS retirement computation involves terms such as MSC, AMSC, CYS, contribution months, pension formulas, and Pension Booster, which can be difficult to connect when someone is simply trying to answer:
“How much SSS pension might I receive when I retire?”
SSSPensionCalculator.ph exists to make that process easier to understand.
Rather than providing only a single pension number, our goal is to help readers understand the information behind the estimate and know what they should verify in their official SSS records.
Useful starting points include:
- SSS Pension Calculator
- Check Your SSS Contributions and Salary Credits Online
- How Many SSS Contributions Are Needed for a Pension?
- SSS Pension Requirements for Voluntary Members
- Mandatory MySSS Pension Booster Guide
